Alex is a member of the Financial Services Litigation and Compliance Group, where she represents clients across the financial services industry in a wide range of complex disputes. Her practice includes financial services litigation, securities matters, commercial litigation, and real estate litigation, with a particular focus on matters involving mortgage servicing, lending practices, and foreclosure-related claims.

She regularly defends banks, mortgage servicers, private lenders, and fintech companies in litigation involving wire fraud, spoofed communications, cybersecurity incidents, and securities issues.

Fluent in Spanish, Alex was born and raised in McAllen, Texas, and brings both cultural fluency and legal precision to every client engagement.

  • Representing corporate clients in federal court litigation involving complex wire fraud schemes, including cases arising from spoofed email communications, impersonation of executives, and fraudulent transfers of escrow and investment funds. These matters often involve coordination with forensic experts, financial institutions, and cybersecurity consultants to trace funds and identify the perpetrators.

  • Defending financial services firms and investment entities in securities litigation, including federal and state claims under the Texas Securities Act and other regulatory frameworks. Representation has included allegations of fraud, material misstatements, and breach of fiduciary duty in connection with investment offerings and disclosure obligations.

  • Defending a national leader in ambulatory surgical care against a former physician's allegations involving medical bylaws, security interest agreements, and reporting obligations to the National Practitioner Data Bank. The case included claims for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and defamation.

  • Advising companies in high-stakes litigation concerning misappropriation of trade secrets and proprietary information, including enforcement of confidentiality agreements and claims under the Texas Uniform Trade Secrets Act.
