(Houston, TX/November 19, 2012) Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC, announces the addition of Mark Mathews to the Firm's Houston office.
Mr. Mathews, who joins as a shareholder and a member of Baker Donelson's Oil & Gas team, has experience in transactional matters relating to the energy industry. Mr. Mathews' transactional practice includes all phases of the negotiation and documentation of oil and gas exploration, development and production agreements, including acquisition and divestiture of producing oil and gas properties, energy-related financing and capital investments, master service agreements for energy service industry, and providing legal advice regarding oil and gas land management and oil and gas operation, exploration and production matters.
Prior to earning his law degree from the South Texas College of Law in 1990, Mr. Mathews received his B.B.A. from the University of Oklahoma in Petroleum Land Management and worked with a major independent exploration and production company. He is a member of the Oil, Gas and Mineral Law Sections of both the Houston and Texas Bar Associations and is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.
