(Nashville, TN/March 19, 2008) Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC, announces the addition of two attorneys to its Nashville office. Kenneth Scott Newman and Steven G. Simmons have joined the Firm as associates, bringing the total number of attorneys in the local office to 85.
Mr. Newman is practicing in the Health Law group. Prior to joining Baker Donelson, he served a judicial clerk externship for the Honorable Judge Thomas Rose in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and clerked for Dunlevey, Mahan & Furry. He received his J.D. from the University of Dayton Law School and his undergraduate degree from the University of Evansville.
Mr. Simmons practices in the Business Law department. Prior to joining Baker Donelson, he practiced with Bracewell & Giuliani LLP and Riley Warnock & Jacobson, PLC, as well as the Dallas County District Attorney's office. He received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law, where he was Student Authorities Editor of Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law, and his B.A. degree from Vanderbilt University.
