(Memphis, TN/February 26, 2009) E. Franklin Childress Jr. and Angelia Morie Nystrom of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC, have been elected Fellows of the Tennessee Bar Foundation, an association of 686 attorneys across the state. Invitations to membership, which is a position of honor, were extended to 34 attorneys this year by the Board of Trustees. The introduction of new Fellows took place at the annual Fellows' Dinner in Nashville.

Mr. Childress, shareholder in the Firm's Memphis office and leader of the Bankruptcy & Restructuring Group, concentrates his practice in the areas of creditors' rights, bankruptcy and commercial litigation. A graduate of Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, Mr. Childress has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® since 2001 in the area of Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights Law and has also been listed in Mid-South Super Lawyers since 2007.

Ms. Morie Nystrom, of counsel in the Firm's Knoxville office, concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning, trusts, tax and probate law. She is a graduate of Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law. Ms. Morie Nystrom is actively involved in the Tennessee Bar Association and currently serves as the Co-chair of the Continuing Legal Education committee and on the Executive Committee of the Estate Planning and Probate Section.

The Bar Foundation's purpose is two-fold: to honor attorneys who have distinguished themselves in the profession and to administer a grant making program, Interest On Lawyers' Trust Accounts (IOLTA), which has awarded grants in excess of $15,000,000 to law-related, public interest projects throughout Tennessee.
