(New Orleans, LA/November 27, 2012) Rob Wollfarth, of the law firm Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC, has been selected to the board of directors of the New Orleans Business Alliance (NOLABA), the official non-profit organization tasked with leading economic development for the City of New Orleans.
NOLABA is governed by a 17-member board of directors. The Alliance's mission is to grow jobs and wealth in the city of New Orleans, focusing on business retention, business expansion, prospect engagement, prospect negotiation, and strategic planning while building a more business-friendly environment.
Mr. Wollfarth, who is of counsel in Baker Donelson's New Orleans office, concentrates his practice on assisting large and small companies with a wide variety of business transactions including start-up, tax planning, acquisitions of tax and economic incentives, business combinations, acquisitions and sales, contractual relationships, financing of projects and operations, restructuring, buy-outs and dissolution. He was named a "Rising Star" by Louisiana Super Lawyers in 2012. A graduate of New York University School of Law, Mr. Wollfarth is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the Louisiana Film and Entertainment Association and the Louisiana Technology Council.
