(Atlanta, GA / July 16, 2015) Bruce E. Bowers has joined Baker Donelson's State Public Policy Group as a senior public policy advisor in the Firm's Atlanta office.
Mr. Bowers brings more than 20 years of experience to Baker Donelson, serving the last 12 years as a principal with a boutique government affairs firm that has been consistently ranked as one of the best firms in Georgia. In 2002, Mr. Bowers served as a senior advisor to the transition team of former Georgia governor Sonny Perdue. From 1995 to 2001, he served as general counsel and senior vice president of administration at Beaulieu of America, Inc., the world's largest family-owned carpet manufacturer. As general counsel Mr. Bowers managed the legal matters of the company and its owners, as well as managing other family investments. As senior vice president he was responsible for the company's human resources department, which oversaw 12,500 employees across 12 countries and 50 states. A graduate of Emory University School of Law, Mr. Bowers previously worked as an investment banker specializing in public finance and securities.
