(Nashville, TN/February 15, 2013) Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC is pleased to announce that Charles K. Grant has been named the recipient of the A.A. Birch Outstanding Public Service Award by the Napier-Looby Bar Foundation.
The award is given in recognition of outstanding professional achievements, dedication to the legal profession and commitment to the organized bar. Mr. Grant will be presented with the award at the annual Barrister's Banquet and Awards Program on February 28.
A shareholder in the Firm's Nashville office, Mr. Grant's practice includes defending clients in complex employment litigation, including class actions and collective actions (wage and hour litigation); litigation concerning claims under Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA); Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) claims; employment and non-compete agreements; protection of trade secrets; and the Worker Adjustment Retraining and Notification Act (WARN).
Mr. Grant is a past president and former board member of the Napier-Looby Bar Association and is president-elect of the Nashville Bar Association. He also serves on the board of directors and is Treasurer for the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands and has been listed in Mid-South Super Lawyers in the area of Employment Litigation Defense since 2006.
