While the recent boom in Nashville's entrepreneur community has brought more risk takers, creative thinkers and bold, new ideas to Music City, it has also stretched the limits of local venture capital dollars. In this Nashville Business Journal article, Chris Sloan notes that, while some companies may struggle to find funding, Nashville’s increasingly diverse entrepreneur community, particularly in the technology space, "brings talent."
"It puts us on the national map," Mr. Sloan said. "That has a halo effect for all economic development. It goes way beyond the entrepreneur community, and it translates into jobs, growth and economic prosperity."
