Q: What attracted you to practice in the area of business litigation and to focus on health services and products within that specialty?
A: I always had an interest in litigation – being before a jury, arguing a case, taking depositions; all aspects of what encompasses litigation have always been very interesting to me. My father was a dentist, so … I’ve always been interested in medicine as well. Practicing in health care litigation is kind of like learning a second language, because you have to learn medicine. You know how to practice law, but being involved in medical malpractice defense cases, you have to … learn a different language, and it’s very interesting to have a knowledge base there. I thought about (medical school) along the way, but I’ve been more interested in law and went down that path.
