Jennie Silk is a shareholder in Baker Donelson's Memphis office and a member of the Complex Litigation and Class Actions Group. She represents clients across the country and internationally in high-stakes commercial disputes, product liability actions, construction litigation, and complex tort cases.

Her practice includes defending municipalities in high-profile §1983 and Monell litigation, often involving First Amendment claims and open records disputes. She has significant experience with consent decree litigation and Department of Justice (DOJ) pattern-or-practice investigations.

Ms. Silk also handles federal construction litigation under the Miller Act and frequently advocates for clients in AAA arbitrations involving commercial and contractual matters.

Committed to advancing justice, Jennie maintains a robust pro bono practice. She has secured compassionate release for a human trafficking survivor, obtained protection for a Honduran family under the Hague Convention Against Torture, and authored an amicus curiae brief to the U.S. Supreme Court in a capital penalty case.

Admitted in Tennessee state and federal courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, Ms. Silk brings creativity and tenacity to every matter. Outside the courtroom, she is an avid runner who has completed dozens of marathons – including 15 Boston Marathons (and counting).
