Joseph Keillor, a health care attorney with deep experience in a variety of regulatory and transactional matters for public, non-profit and for-profit clients, has joined Baker Donelson as a member of the Health Law Group.
Joining as of counsel in Baker Donelson's Baltimore office, Mr. Keillor represents health care clients in a broad range of transactional and regulatory matters. He regularly helps clients design and implement alignment strategies, including through developing Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) along with a variety of other mechanisms.
Mr. Keillor is the latest in a number of additions to Baker Donelson's health practice in recent months. In November, health care regulatory attorney Robert Wells joined as a shareholder, also in the Firm's Baltimore office. In October, the Firm expanded its geographic reach into a new market, announcing the addition of a team of six health care attorneys in North Carolina.

Mr. Keillor advises clients regarding compliance investigations, self-disclosures under the Self-Referral Disclosure Protocol (SRDP) and the structuring or restructuring of contractual arrangements to minimize regulatory risk. He also regularly advises clients regarding implications of changing payment models to their organizations, and strategies for adapting to such changing models while managing regulatory risks.
A graduate of Washington University School of Law, Mr. Keillor also holds an LL.M. from the University of Chicago. He is a member of the American Health Law Association and the Health Law Section of the American Bar Association. For more than a decade, he served in a variety of leadership capacities with The Health Project, Inc., a non-profit organization championing employer health promotion programs.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Keillor was an officer in the U.S. Air Force. In 2005, he served a tour of duty in Afghanistan. He also served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve through 2011.
