Baker Donelson has added Melissa M. Grand to the Firm's Baton Rouge office as a member of the Business Litigation Group.
Ms. Grand joins the Firm as of counsel and focuses her litigation practice in consumer financial services, education law and commercial litigation. She represents banks, mortgage lenders and financial services clients in various mortgage-related litigation. She also represents charter schools, charter school management organizations, private schools and other educational institutions in various education matters on both a state and federal level.
A graduate of the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Ms. Grand has extensive experience practicing in Louisiana district courts and Louisiana courts of appeal. She has been recognized as a "Rising Star" in Louisiana Super Lawyers since 2018 and is an active member of the Baton Rouge, Louisiana State and American Bar Associations. Ms. Grand has also served on the board of directors for the Boys Hope Girls Hope of Baton Rouge and for the THRIVE Foundation.
