Baker Donelson continues to grow its nationally recognized health law practice, adding Sandra Adams, who joins as of counsel in the Firm's Fort Lauderdale office.
Ms. Adams represents long term care and senior living operators, addressing the strategic, regulatory, and operational requirements organizations face. Her experience includes negotiating and managing complex real estate and operations acquisitions, leases, sales, and financing transactions. Ms. Adams advises long term care clients on portfolio and single asset acquisitions and sales, financing transactions, and other health care-related matters.
Ms. Adams previously served as general counsel for one of the top ten largest long term care companies where, in addition to representing the company in transactional matters, she successfully developed and governed new lines of business. In addition to skilled nursing, her business lines included a managed care insurance plan, telemedicine, physician and medical services, health care software, home and behavioral health, medical supplies, and more. Most recently, as general counsel at a national staffing company, she provided legal and business advice as a member of the executive committee. She implemented risk management initiatives and compliance protocols, in addition to handling human resources investigations and litigation matters.
A former member of the Legislative Committee of the The National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations (NALTO), Ms. Adams is past advisory board member of SHC Medical Partners, LLC and YourDoc2U, LLC.
Other additions to Baker Donelson's Health Law Group in recent months have included health care regulatory attorneys Janice M. Suchyta in Houston and Robert Wells and Joseph Keillor in Baltimore, as well as the addition of a team of six health care attorneys in North Carolina.
