Baker Donelson has added Phil George as of counsel in the Firm's Atlanta office, further strengthening its Business Litigation Group and expanding the Hospitality Industry Service Team.
A litigator with experience in all stages of litigation in both state and federal courts in multiple jurisdictions, Mr. George assists clients in complex matters, including hospitality, franchise, timeshare, human trafficking, product liability, drug and medical device, class action, and commercial litigation. His practice focuses on complex tort litigation, and he has defended clients in high-stakes litigation in trials, depositions, and appeals.

Prior to joining Baker Donelson, Mr. George practiced at large international firms in Atlanta and New York. While in law school, he served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Renee Marie Bumb of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
A cum laude graduate of Georgetown University, Mr. George obtained his J.D. from Columbia Law School. He is an active member of the Atlanta Bar Association, where he serves on the Publications Committee and is co-editor of the Litigation Section's quarterly publication, The Litigator. Mr. George is recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America™ for Commercial Litigation, and he is listed as a Rising Star in General Litigation by Georgia Super Lawyers.
