Christy Tosh Crider of Baker Donelson has been named a recipient of the Great Place to Work® For All™ Leadership Award.
Baker Donelson Chairman and CEO Ben C. Adams presented Ms. Crider with the award on March 7 at the inaugural Great Place to Work For All Leadership Awards gala dinner at the Four Seasons San Francisco. For 20 years, Ms. Crider has consistently played a critical role in helping to create a workplace culture at Baker Donelson that has earned the Firm a spot on FORTUNE magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For®" list for nine consecutive years.
A shareholder located in Baker Donelson's Nashville office, Ms. Crider is chair of the Firm's Women's Initiative, and also serves as chair of the Firm's Health Care Litigation Group and Long Term Care Group. Under Ms. Crider's leadership, Baker Donelson has earned numerous national recognitions as an exceptional workplace for women. The Firm has been ranked on FORTUNE's list of the "100 Best Workplaces for Women®," is ranked third nationally in diversity for women in the 2018 edition of Vault, Inc.'s "Best Law Firms for Diversity," and in 2017 was named by Working Mother magazine as one of the "Best Law Firms for Women." And from 2015 to 2018, the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) has awarded Baker Donelson the coveted Gold Standard Certification.
These national accolades are the culmination of years of Ms. Crider's leadership. She has overseen numerous key initiatives including the adoption of an industry-leading parental leave policy, implementation of a firm-wide mentoring program for women; creating a program that awards business development grants to women attorneys; and a training program designed to help women attorneys achieve equity shareholder status.

In addition to her leadership roles within Baker Donelson, Ms. Crider manages a successful practice concentrated in the long term care and behavioral health industries, managing the litigation of numerous long term care facilities around the country as well as serving as outside general counsel. Since 2008, she has been listed in Mid-South Super Lawyers and was listed among the top 50 female attorneys in the Mid-South, the top 50 attorneys in Nashville and the top 100 attorneys in Tennessee in the publication's 2017 edition. Ms. Crider was named as one of the "Women to Watch" by The Nashville Medical News and was also a recipient of the "Women of Influence Award" from the Nashville Business Journal. Since 2010, she has coached an all-girls high school Mock Trial team for Harpeth Hall High School.
