In addition to her extensive representation of auto finance lenders and other financial institutions, Ms. Evans represents assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and health care facilities, advising them in the drafting of their financial agreements and litigating their collection and eviction actions in state and federal courts. Furthermore, she assists commercial real estate companies, property management companies, receivers, lenders, and other commercial landlords in their eviction proceedings in state courts and U.S. Bankruptcy Court.
Ms. Evans has a proven ability to manage diverse litigation portfolios from inception through resolution, advising clients and teams on case strategy, case evaluation, resource allocation, budgeting, risk assessment and mitigation, and coordinating with in-house counsel to drive efficient and favorable outcomes.
Ms. Evans advises employers and financial and credit institutions on garnishments, levies and executions and frequently represents employers and their insurers in workers' compensation matters before the Tennessee Department of Labor. She has tried more than 20 jury trials in addition to innumerable bench trials and served as a deputy prosecuting attorney before entering private practice. Ms. Evans also leverages her previous experience as senior counsel at a national non-profit to better understand the business side of legal decision making, along with the need for cost-containment and a focus on the client's definition of success.
Ms. Evans works out of the Memphis office and serves as chair of the Firm's Auto Finance Team.
