Blair B. Evans

Blair manages diverse litigation portfolios from inception through resolution, advising clients and legal teams on strategy, case evaluation, budgeting, risk assessment, resource allocation, and efficient resolution. She has tried more than 20 jury trials, along with numerous bench trials, and previously served as a deputy prosecuting attorney. Her prior experience as senior counsel at a national non-profit gives her a practical understanding of business-focused legal decision-making, cost containment, and client-centered measures of success.

Blair is based in the Firm's Memphis office.

• Manages a commercial loan default portfolio for a major national lender, directing litigation across the Firm's entire geographic footprint and leading a team of 20 professionals, including 12 attorneys, to ensure consistent, efficient, and cost-effective strategies that deliver streamlined outcomes.

• Provided long-term representation of a major automotive creditor in state court trials involving breach of contract actions and actions to recover personal property.

• Experienced in managing a diverse litigation portfolio for a property services provider, handling matters involving premises liability, complex landlord-tenant disputes, easements, fleet vehicle litigation, condemnation proceedings, and tax sales while ensuring strategic and resource-conscious resolutions that deliver peace of mind to clients.

• Long-term representation of a large local credit union in replevin actions, vehicle forfeiture proceedings, foreclosures, bankruptcy proceedings and state court collections actions.

• Successful representation of an international elevator producer in state court litigation of contractual disputes.

• Recovery of debts for assisted living, skilled care, nursing home and other health care facilities in actions in state courts.

• Numerous trials of consumer credit issues before U.S. Bankruptcy Court for major mortgage companies and automotive creditors.

• Representation of a local utility provider before state courts in litigation of damage claims.

• Representation of multiple commercial real estate entities in state court eviction proceedings and in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in actions to lift the automatic stay and adversary proceedings, in which the tenant is ordered to assume or reject a lease.

• Litigated breach of employee retention bonus agreements against former employees of a major health care provider.
