Conner Whitten has significant experience defending clients in matters involving alleged environmental contamination, stormwater and wastewater issues. He regularly counsels clients on environmental and regulatory compliance, including advising on permitting, licensing, and risk mitigation under federal and state environmental and energy laws.
Mr. Whitten also counsels clients on complex commercial disputes, class action lawsuits, and government investigations and enforcement actions, including private suits and investigations under the Packers and Stockyards Act.
Prior to joining Baker Donelson, Mr. Whitten worked as a business law fellow in the regulatory division of Entergy Mississippi, where he gained firsthand experience in energy regulation, environmental compliance, and utility regulatory proceedings within the energy sector. He was also a legal extern for the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Mississippi, and he interned with the Mississippi Public Service Commission.
