Eduardo is an experienced attorney with extensive experience in a wide range of commercial and constitutional litigation. He has litigated cases before the U.S. Supreme Court, federal courts of appeal, federal district courts, and state supreme courts. Eduardo also has experience with complex arbitrations, having participated in multiple high-value international arbitrations. His legal work has spanned a range of industries, including energy, mining, manufacturing, and transportation. Eduardo has particular experience representing clients with Latin American interests and is a fluent Spanish speaker.
Prior to joining Baker Donelson, Eduardo served as a senior associate at an international law firm, as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Eastern District of Virginia, and as a Senior Advisor to the General Counsel of the Treasury Department. Most recently, Eduardo was a strategy consultant at Actionist Consulting, where he advised insurance, retail, and financial service clients on a range of business and strategic matters.
Eduardo began his career as a law clerk to Judge Carolyn Dineen King at the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit from 2011 – 2012. He then clerked for Justices John Paul Stevens (ret.) and Sonia Sotomayor at the United States Supreme Court from 2012 – 2013.
