Baker Donelson has named Howard L. Sollins leader of the Firm's Long Term Care Team.
A shareholder in Baker Donelson's Baltimore office, where he is a member of the BakerOber Health Law Group, Mr. Sollins represents health care providers, vendors and suppliers in a wide array of matters involving federal and state regulations; Medicare, Medicaid and other reimbursement; structuring business transactions and contracts; licensing, survey and certification; certificate of need; fraud and abuse; corporate compliance; and e-health and technology. His clients include long term care and post-acute care providers including skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, hospices, assisted living facilities and continuing care retirement communities; hospitals and health systems; ambulance suppliers; and physicians and other health care practitioners.
Mr. Sollins, who previously served as chair of the Maryland State Bar Association Section on Health Law, is a member of the American Health Law Association, the Health Care Section of the American Bar Association, the American Health Care Association Legal Committee, and LeadingAge. He is recognized as a leading attorney in the field of health care law by The Best Lawyers in America®, Chambers USA, and Maryland Super Lawyers. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Sollins served as an assistant attorney general for the Maryland Department of Health & Mental Hygiene.
