Mr. Myers' commercial real estate practice focuses on representing developers, investors, lenders, businesses, and individuals in all aspects of their real estate transactions and related matters. He handles the full scope of commercial real estate transactions, from negotiating purchase and sale agreements to overseeing due diligence (including title, survey, environmental, and zoning), entitlements, financing, defeasances, closings, and beyond. His transactional practice centers around acquisitions, development, and dispositions of shopping centers, apartment complexes, office buildings, and mixed-use projects, but he frequently works on other types of transactions and real estate matters.

Mr. Myers regularly assists both landlord and tenants with commercial leasing, including retail, office, industrial, and ground leases. He also drafts and negotiates a wide range of other real estate agreements, such as easements, covenants, restrictions, development agreements, and management agreements.

  • Represented a client in connection with the acquisition and development of more than 30 stores for a national retail tenant throughout Mississippi and Tennessee.

  • Represented a purchaser in connection with the acquisition and agency financing of a $78 million apartment complex.

  • Represented a developer and landlord in connection with the acquisition, development, and leasing of a $9 million shopping center.

  • Represented a client in connection with a $6.35 million manufacturing facility purchase.

  • Represented the seller in connection with a $4 million sale and leaseback of a medical office building.

  • Assisted an equipment supplier with the purchase of a warehouse, including drafting the purchase contract and conducting a due diligence review.

  • Represented a developer in connection with the acquisition, financing, and development of a $32 million residential and retail mixed-use development.

  • Represented the seller in connection with the sale of a $64 million shopping center, including a loan defeasance.

  • Assisted an equipment supplier with the lease of a 25,000-square-foot warehouse space.

  • Represented a purchaser in connection with the acquisition and financing of a $33 million shopping center.

  • Assisted a manufacturing client with the sale of an industrial facility subject to an industrial development board ground lease.

  • Assisted an institutional client with the acquisition of four hotels.
