Baker Donelson attorney Kay Anderson has been named the "Defense Lawyer of the Year" by the Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association (TDLA).
The award, which honors a TDLA member who has made significant contributions to organization, to the defense bar, and/or to the practice of law in Tennessee in the past year, was presented to Ms. Anderson at the TDLA's Virtual Annual Meeting.
Ms. Anderson is a member of Baker Donelson's Health Care Litigation Group, where she represents physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners and CRNAs in malpractice defense litigation. She also has experience in successfully defending state licensure investigations of physicians and nurses, as well as product liability cases and contract disputes with health care providers, and has successfully argued many cases in the appellate courts of Tennessee.
A Rule 31 Listed General Civil Mediator, Ms. Anderson has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America© and Mid-South Super Lawyers for her work in medical malpractice law and holds an AV® Preeminent™ Rating from Martindale-Hubbell. She is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association and the Memphis Bar Foundation, as well as the Memphis, Mississippi and Tennessee Bar Associations.
