Suzanne Lewis is an experienced trial lawyer.

Professional Biography


Ms. Lewis focuses her practice on employment law and accessibility compliance. She provides clients with advice throughout all stages of employment and has experience litigating in both federal and state courts. Ms. Lewis' practice also includes defending clients in housing discrimination complaints and advising clients on accessibility compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Housing Act, and state/local building codes. She also represents clients before administrative bodies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Department of Labor (DOL), Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). Ms. Lewis works with companies in a variety of industries, including retail, housing, and hospitality. In addition, she litigates a variety of other matters, including professional malpractice and business litigation.

Prior to joining Baker Donelson, Ms. Lewis practiced primarily medical malpractice defense, products liability defense, and general insurance defense. Additionally, she previously served as an Attorney Advisor for the Executive Office for Immigration Review of the Department of Justice in Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Before that, Ms. Lewis worked as a law assistant to Chief Judge William T. Boyett in the Conasauga Judicial Circuit and served as a legal intern for the Georgia Governor's Office of Consumer Protection. She also worked as a fellow in the Department of Constituent Services in the office of the Governor of Georgia.
