Join Baker Donelson Shareholder Allison M. Cohen for the "Telemedicine Webinar Series Part I: The Evolving Telehealth Framework" presented by the American Health Law Association. Ms. Cohen will participate in this panel discussion to provide a focused overview of the current state of the telehealth regulatory and reimbursement framework.
The panelists will cover topics including various federal and state laws and regulations that need to be considered when evaluating telehealth arrangements and laws and regulations related to reimbursement, enrollment, fraud and abuse, licensure, corporate practice of medicine, and privacy.
Additionally, they will review the recent Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' rulemaking and the two-year extension of certain telehealth flexibilities through the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023 and conclude by clarifying longstanding laws/regulations that have never changed, versus those that have temporarily changed due to Public Health Emergency (PHE)-specific waivers, versus recent legislative and regulatory changes that have prolonged some of these waivers beyond the PHE.
