(Memphis, TN /June 23, 2015) Baker Donelson has named Emily T. Brackstone vice chair of the Firm's Emerging Companies Team. Ms. Brackstone, a shareholder in Baker Donelson's Memphis office, joins Chris Sloan, chair of the group, in guiding the strategic growth of the multidisciplinary practice that serves high-growth start-up companies and other emerging businesses.

At Baker Donelson, Ms. Brackstone represents both early-stage and established companies in various business matters through all phases of a company's life cycle. She counsels clients during the structuring and formation of business entities; venture capital and angel funding; and drafting and negotiating general business contracts.
She also regularly represents clients in the life science and health care industries, including pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, specialty pharmacies, physician practices and hospitals.
Ms. Brackstone earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and her law degree from the University of Tennessee.
