He notes the key to making project management work in the firm was to have a streamlined process that placed an emphasis on keeping case notes organized, making billing easy to follow and transparent, and organize a lawyer's time in an effective manner.
"For the everyday lawyer, to be able to implement this, they were going to need technology to support it. And after creating a process that worked, we didn't want to just bring in a piece of software that didn't track that process. We needed software that tracked the steps that we had identified as a best practice," Mr. Rueff said.
