Baker Donelson opened its Houston office in 2011. Today the office has grown to more than 25 attorneys representing leading businesses in the Houston area and throughout the United States.

Mirroring the rich and varied economic base of the Houston area, the Houston office has strong practices serving the business community in the construction, energy, financial services, health care, manufacturing, professional services, real estate, technology and transportation sectors.

Our Houston team is highly regarded for its ability to respond quickly to and address catastrophic events – such as disputes arising from the BP oil spill and serious transport-related accidents.

Our Houston office has notable strength in a number of areas. Our advocacy practice represents clients in trial, litigation, appeal and arbitration across Texas and the United States, as well as internationally. Our health care team advises a full range of health care entities – both providers and insurers – regarding regulatory and transactional issues. Our transactional attorneys represent businesses of all sizes on all aspects of the business cycle – from formation to divestiture.

Attorney Recruiting Manager - Any Office

Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell, & Berkowitz, PC has an opening for an Attorney Recruiting Manager. This position may be based at any Baker Donelson office location. The Attorney Recruiting Manager is responsible for leading the Firm's Summer Associate recruiting strategy and serving as the primary owner of the Summer Associate Program across all offices. This role develops and executes long-term recruiting initiatives designed to attract, engage, and convert top legal talent while aligning with the Firm's strategic hiring objectives.

Litigation Attorney – Houston (#832)

The Houston office of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, P.C. seeks a litigation attorney with four to six years of litigation experience, ideally tort litigation and insurance defense, for a non-shareholder track position. Academically distinguished applicants who have excellent written and oral advocacy skills, exceptional research and writing skills, and experience drafting and arguing motions; taking and defending depositions; evaluating, interviewing, and deposing experts; and running files autonomously are sought to assume responsibility in an active litigation practice. Trial experience in state and federal court is preferred. Texas law license required.

Bankruptcy Associate - Houston (#834)

The Houston office of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell and Berkowitz, P.C. seeks an associate with 3-5 years of bankruptcy, workout, and/or relevant commercial litigation experience to join its Corporate Restructuring & Bankruptcy practice group. The position involves representing lenders, secured and unsecured creditors, and businesses in a variety of commercial loan restructuring and insolvency matters with default resolutions, collections, loan workouts, and bankruptcy-related matters in federal and state court. Knowledge of CMBS (including special servicing), commercial lending, real estate, maritime, and/or energy law are a plus. This is a terrific opportunity to gain sophisticated hands-on experience as part of a multi-office team of collaborative and goal-oriented professionals in a thriving commercial loan restructuring and workout practice with significant client contact. Academically distinguished applicants who have excellent writing, analytical, and organizational skills are sought to assume responsibility in this active and diverse practice. IT Project Manager - Any Firm Location

Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell, & Berkowitz, PC has an immediate opening for an Information Technology (IT) Project Manager located anywhere within the Firm's geographical footprint.

The IT Project Manager must coordinate and manage department and enterprise level technology projects, provide project analysis and status information to management, assist interested Firm teams with implementing recommended project management practices, and participate in improving project management office (PMO) practices, policies, and procedures. The IT Project Manager works to insure the continuation and evolution of the PMO's strategic and administrative goals.

Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC has an opening for a Legal Support Coordinator in its Houston, TX office.  The ideal candidate will have a high level of legal experience (minimum of 3 years) and administrative experience, exceptional communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the Analyst manages diverse research requests while delivering exceptional client service.
