Kent Lambert Named Co-Chair of ABA Committee on Prettrial Practice and Discovery

(New Orleans, LA/September 9, 2008) Kent A. Lambert, of the law firm Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC, has been appointed Co-Chair of the American Bar Association's (ABA) Section of Litigation Committee on Pretrial Practice and Discovery.

As the Co-Chair of this committee, Mr. Lambert will be responsible for leading this 2,234-person committee, and overseeing the publications and continuing legal education events offered by that committee at ABA Section of Litigation and ABA annual meetings. Mr. Lambert previously served as a sub-committee chair of the ABA's Business Torts Committee.

Mr. Lambert, a shareholder in the Firm's New Orleans office, concentrates his practice in the area of commercial litigation with an emphasis on civil trial work, including all phases of complex class action practice as well as appellate practice. His experience includes representing financial institutions and their officers and directors in a wide variety of cases and brokers, advisors and other bank-affiliated investment professionals in regulatory matters and proceedings before the National Association of Securities Dealers. Mr. Lambert is a faculty member of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy and was formerly Associate Editor of the ABA's Litigation News.
