Abby represents employers in all aspects of employment law. She has defended clients against discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims, including those based on age, disability, race, sex/pay, pregnancy, FMLA, and LGBTQ status, in federal and state courts, administrative agencies, and EEOC proceedings. Her experience covers every phase of employment litigation, from EEOC charges and conciliation through demand-stage counseling, arbitration, summary judgment, mediation, and trial. She has served in significant roles including second-chairing a federal jury trial on an ADA/TDA disability discrimination case and supporting the defense of an EEOC enforcement action involving race discrimination, hostile work environment, and retaliation claims on behalf of multiple workers. Her clients have included employers in health care, insurance, construction, staffing, nonprofit, and professional services. Abby also counsels clients on employment policies and handbooks, workplace investigations, employee discipline and terminations, and compliance with federal and state employment laws.
In addition to her employment practice, Abby handles complex business litigation matters across various industries, including health care, hospitality, and financial services. She has experience at every stage of litigation, from pre-suit investigations through trial and mediation. Abby has successfully dismissed claims and lawsuits, defended clients in depositions, negotiated favorable settlement agreements, and tried cases to verdict. She prioritizes her clients' needs and works to build lasting, trusted relationships.
