Ashley Gibson is a skilled and versatile litigator with experience in both bench and jury trials.

Ashley has represented clients of various sizes in high-stakes litigation across state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration, managing cases involving breach of contract, antitrust issues, product liability, statutory claims, trade secret misappropriation, and disputes related to non-compete, non-solicitation, and non-disclosure agreements. Additionally, she has handled complex class action litigation. With in-depth knowledge across a range of industries, including health care, manufacturing, food and beverage, telecommunications, construction, and insurance, Ashley provides strategic legal representation and counsel to clients in these fields.

Throughout her practice, Ashley strives to achieve the best results for her clients at every phase of the litigation process. She has successfully secured early dismissals of lawsuits, negotiated favorable settlements, won dispositive motions, prevailed at trial, and won issues on appeal.

  • Obtained a complete defense verdict on behalf of legacy telecommunications companies, rejecting all claims (with potential for nine-figure exposures) asserted in a qui tam case brought under New Mexico’s Fraud Against Taxpayer's Act following a two-week state court jury trial in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

  • Obtained summary judgment as lead counsel on all claims on behalf of an insurer in a dispute over insurance coverage for property damage.

  • Obtained partial dismissal of two claims in a business divorce case based on the statutes of limitations.

  • Obtained a judgment with award of damages and attorney's fees as lead counsel on behalf of a large regional company enforcing a non-compete and non-solicitation agreement.

  • Obtained complete dismissal with prejudice on behalf of an insurer in federal court of all claims in a case in which the plaintiff alleged breach of the homeowner's insurance policy.

  • Obtained affirmation by the trial court of denial of disability pension benefits to an employee on behalf of a pension fund in a matter that arose from the employee's claim of an on-the-job injury.

  • After a multi-day temporary injunction hearing, obtained complete denial of the plaintiff's request for a temporary injunction on behalf of an insurer.

  • Obtained a defense verdict for a pension fund client related to challenges against an amended pension plan. The decision was later upheld by the Tennessee Court of Appeals.

  • Served as trial counsel in federal court in a contractual dispute related to the construction of a mixed-use master planned community.

  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of a specialty retailer in a personal injury case.

  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of an apartment building owner in a personal injury case.

  • Prevailed at the Tennessee Court of Appeals, in which the court vacated a trial court's dismissal of claims under the prior suit pending doctrine.
