The national law firm of Baker Donelson served as legal counsel to Equinox Information Systems – a software provider known for its expertise in fraud management, business assurance, and network monitoring within the telecommunications industry – in its acquisition by Valsoft Corporation, a Canadian company specializing in the acquisition and development of vertical market software businesses.
The Baker Donelson team advising Equinox on this agreement was led by J. Allen Roberts, managing shareholder of the Firm's Nashville office. The team also included shareholders Christopher Douse (Nashville), Andrea Bailey Powers (Birmingham), Emma J. Redden (Memphis), and Steven K. Wood (Nashville); and associates Aaron S. Chaloner Ph.D. (Nashville), Katherine Denney (Nashville), Jordan Ferrell (Nashville), Paulluvi Henley (Nashville), Meagan O. Davis (Memphis), Star Kimbrow (Nashville), Jack Ritossa (Nashville), Dominic Rota (Nashville), Tyler Saenz (Nashville), and Shelton Wittenberg (Memphis).
With this acquisition, Equinox becomes Valsoft's first telecommunication company. Equinox will not only have the opportunity to further strengthen its presence in the U.S. market but will be able to expand globally. Equinox's management team will stay on board as the company grows.
