Boone regularly focuses his practice on business litigation and energy regulatory matters. He represents a broad range of corporate, commercial, and individual clients in complex disputes in federal and state courts and works with utilities and other energy sector clients on regulatory proceedings before state commissions and related compliance matters.
Boone's litigation practice includes business disputes, breach of contract, real property and commercial lease litigation, partnership and shareholder disputes, lender liability, and zoning and land use challenges. He manages cases from pleadings through mediation and trial, handling all aspects of litigation strategy, including drafting and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, managing expert discovery, and preparing witnesses.
Alongside his courtroom work, Boone assists utilities and other energy clients in regulatory proceedings before state commissions and with related compliance matters. He also assists clients with commercial contracts and transactions that may be subject to regulatory requirements, including agreements common to the development and operation of energy projects.
In addition to his litigation practice, Boone works with business owners, executives, and closely held companies on a range of corporate and commercial matters. His transactional work focuses on the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts, real estate-related agreements, and other business agreements, and also includes entity formation, corporate governance, and corporate and regulatory compliance.
Boone works with clients across a variety of industries to support both routine business needs and more significant strategic initiatives, including the day-to-day legal and business questions that arise in the ordinary course of running a company. He brings the same practical, client-focused approach to his transactional work that he does to his litigation and regulatory matters, with an emphasis on helping clients achieve their commercial objectives efficiently and with appropriate risk management.
