David Folds and John McJunkin, shareholders in the Firm's Washington, D.C. office, were recognized in the 2024 edition. Mr. Folds, who concentrates his practice in bankruptcy and commercial litigation, regularly represents clients, including financial institutions, commercial and retail landlords, and other entities, in resolving disputes through workouts, alternative dispute resolution, and litigation in federal, state, and bankruptcy courts. His bankruptcy practice includes representing secured creditors, landlords, and other stakeholders in all aspects of business reorganizations, and he has substantial experience in retail and health care bankruptcy proceedings in numerous jurisdictions around the country. Mr. Folds' litigation practice focuses on the representation of secured creditors with exposures in multiple industries, such as hospitality, multifamily housing, senior living, and health care. Additionally, he represents various parties in real estate disputes in the commercial, office, retail, and telecommunications sectors.

With more than 35 years of commercial litigation experience that includes prosecuting and defending lawsuits and arbitrations arising out of lending relationships, contested foreclosures, complex contractual matters, real estate disputes, and business torts, he offers clients a broad range of services that include negotiating and documenting workout arrangements of complex lending relationships and helping commercial borrowers in workout negotiations and bankruptcy planning. Mr. McJunkin also has experience litigating a wide range of issues in the context of Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases.
