Erin Gomez focuses her practice on construction matters and is located in the Firm's Chattanooga office.

Professional Biography


A member of the Firm's Construction Group, Ms. Gomez represents and counsels owners, contractors, suppliers, and design professionals throughout the United States. From drafting project contracts to litigating defect and delay claims, she provides her clients with specialized and thoughtful advice, action, and solutions. Ms. Gomez's work often includes resolution of project payment and change order disputes, limitation of and defense against liability, and preservation and prosecution of claims in the event of contractual breach.

In addition to her construction practice, Ms. Gomez has represented business litigation matters for telecommunications, utility, and railroad entities in litigation, tax, and regulatory matters across the country. She also litigates cases involving malpractice, professional liability, intellectual property, and contract disputes.

A graduate of Emory University School of Law, Ms. Gomez was a student member of the Emory International Humanitarian Law Clinic and served as president of the Emory Immigration Law Practice Society. She interned with the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Department of Labor and the Coca-Cola Company.

Ms. Gomez is proficient in Spanish.

  • Obtained summary judgment in a multi-million-dollar malpractice case.

  • Secured grants on motions for summary judgment, motions to dismiss, and motions to compel in various Tennessee cases.
