Mr. Adams represents clients in complex business reorganizations, restructurings and financing transactions, and he has extensive experience representing creditors and individuals in bankruptcy cases and adversary proceedings. He represents buyers and sellers of distressed assets under the Bankruptcy Code, as well as parties who wish to proceed outside of bankruptcy. Jake also represents lenders seeking to provide debtor-in-possession and exit financing under Chapter 11.
Mr. Adams has also defended financial services clients against various claims in litigation across the Southeast.
In addition to his creditor practice, Jake also has experience with various forms of child custody litigation, including divorce, dependency and neglect, adoption and termination of parental rights. He has been certified as a guardian ad litem and served in that capacity in Mississippi and Tennessee. Mr. Adams is of counsel in the Firm's Nashville office.
