Ms. Kilgore is an associate in Baker Donelson's Nashville office and a member of the Health Law and Technology Teams. She is well-versed in data rights and licensing and regularly assists clients through analyzing and providing guidance on data use questions that arise from federal and state privacy, security, and anti-competition laws, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and the Federal Trade Commission Act (FTC Act). Ms. Kilgore is highly experienced in drafting and negotiating data licensing, use, and sharing agreements. Ms. Kilgore also counsels clients on privacy and security requirements for various data uses. Ms. Kilgore also has experience handling technology transactions, and she regularly prepares, reviews, and negotiates all forms of technology-related and commercial contracts.
Prior to joining Baker Donelson, Ms. Kilgore served as in-house counsel at a health care technology company where she drafted and negotiated various consumer and vendor contracts, including data licensing, processing, and use agreements, software technology agreements, software as a service agreements, business associate agreements, reseller agreements, and master agreements.
