An associate in Baker Donelson's Nashville office, Julie is a member of the Firm's Health Law Group, as well as the Technology and Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Teams. She focuses her practice on data use, privacy, cybersecurity, and complex technology transactions, primarily in the health care industry, and she is experienced in federal and state privacy, security, and AI governance laws. Julie regularly advises clients on the collection, use, processing, and licensing of data, privacy compliance, and AI governance, and she assists in drafting and negotiating data license agreements and all forms of technology and commercial agreements.
Prior to joining Baker Donelson, Julie served as in-house counsel at a health care technology company, where she advised on product development and negotiated a range of technology and commercial contracts, including data licensing agreements, business associate agreements, software as a service (SaaS) agreements, reseller agreements, and master services agreements.
Julie is a member of Women in Technology of Tennessee (WiTT), the American Health Law Association (AHLA), and Leadership Health Care through the Nashville Health Care Council. She also holds memberships in the Nashville and Tennessee Bar Associations, as well as the Alabama State Bar.
