Ms. Gohel's practice focuses a broad range of financial and commercial transactions. She regularly assists clients in the documentation, structuring, negotiation, and closure of direct equipment leasing and financing deals. Her experience includes handling various types of equipment transactions, from individual sales and purchases to portfolios, as well as both direct and indirect motor vehicle leasing and financing, including titling trusts. Ms. Gohel has drafted, reviewed, and revised various form loan and lease agreements along with ancillary documents. Additionally, she has experience with specialty asset syndications – including aircraft, vessels, and railcar – and has participated in significant transactions such as the sale of a $400 million railcar portfolio. Ms. Gohel has extensive experience in commercial disclosures and regulatory matters.
Prior to joining Baker Donelson, Ms. Gohel was an Intellectual Property Coordinator at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where she managed the university's intellectual property portfolio and negotiated, drafted, and reviewed various legal documents for consistency with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
During law school, she served as a law clerk at the Maryland Office of Administrative Hearings, where she drafted decisions for the administrative law judges' review. Ms. Gohel was also a student attorney for the Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Clinic, where she drafted patent applications and advised clients regarding business-related matters.
Ms. Gohel is fluent in Hindi and Gujarati.
