Matthew McGee advises clients on international trade and national security matters involving customs compliance, export controls, sanctions, trade remedy investigations, trade policy, and market access. He also focuses his practice on various litigation matters.

Mr. McGee is an associate in the Firm's Baltimore office. He assists global businesses with compliance and regulatory issues related to international trade and national security matters. He also advises clients through all stages of litigation.

As a trusted advisor, Mr. McGee has assisted clients with customs and tariff compliance; antidumping and countervailing duty (AD/CVD) investigations; export controls and sanctions compliance; and matters related to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Mr. McGee has guided a variety of clients through both state and federal trial court and appellate actions, AAA arbitrations, and state and federal administrative investigations. His experience covers commercial litigation, construction disputes, labor and employment class and collective actions, internal investigations, and more.

While attending law school, Mr. McGee served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Richard D. Bennett of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. He also practiced as a student attorney in the Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship: Trademark & Copyright Clinic, where he successfully registered trademarks for clients with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Before law school, Mr. McGee was a financial risk consultant, advising clients on matters such as data migrations, fraud risk assessments, IPO preparation, and more. He also worked for the U.S. Commercial Service at the U.S. Embassy in Santiago, Chile.

Mr. McGee is fluent in Spanish.
