MJ is an associate in the Firm's Memphis office and a member of the Advocacy Department. She has researched and drafted memoranda on various topics, such as the criminal prosecution of health care providers, Series 24 Licenses, case law on elements of interlocutory appeal, a 50-state survey on wrongful death beneficiaries, and liability in fraudulent wire transfers.
Prior to joining Baker Donelson, MJ served as a health law legal extern for the Massachusetts Joint Committee on Public Health. In this role, she revised 105 CMR 142 to better support the JPCH's policy objective of reducing racial inequities in maternal health. She also analyzed 32 states' regulations on birthing centers to substantiate revisions to the legislations used for bill proposals.
