Rachel focuses her practice, in part, on advising employers on all aspects of labor and employment issues, including, but not limited to, internal investigations, drafting and reviewing agreements, terminations, policy creation and enforcement, and compliance. She also defends clients against federal and state discrimination and harassment laws, workers' compensation, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, and FLSA.
In addition to her labor and employment practice, Rachel is a skilled advisor and litigator, handing a variety of business disputes for businesses of all sizes in state, business, and federal courts.
Before joining Baker Donelson, Rachel worked in a unique role, providing her both litigation and transactional practice. She not only negotiates and drafts contracts but also litigates and enforces their validity. In her previous roles, she gained extensive experience in the hospitality, health care, and life sciences industries. Prior to joining private practice, Rachel served as a federal law clerk to the Honorable Joseph N. Callaway in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.
