Sawyer Richardson focuses his practice on construction law and complex commercial litigation. He represents owners, contractors, subcontractors, developers, and businesses in disputes arising from construction projects and commercial relationships, serving clients through all phases of litigation, negotiation, and dispute resolution. He advises clients on a wide range of construction-related issues, including defective work allegations, contractual disputes, project-related damages, risk allocation, and pre-suit dispute resolution.
Sawyer has experience litigating complex claims in state and federal courts, preparing dispositive motions and appellate briefs, managing written discovery, and representing clients in hearings and mediations. He also works closely with corporate and individual clients to develop litigation strategies and pursue efficient resolutions to disputes.
In addition to his construction practice, Sawyer has experience handling complex civil litigation involving products liability, asbestos exposure claims, manufacturer-provider disputes, and financial actions. Sawyer earned his J.D., with highest honors, from the University of Tennessee College of Law and was inducted into the Order of the Coif.
