Katie Dwyer is a labor and employment lawyer based in the Firm's Nashville office.

Professional Biography


Ms. Dwyer represents clients in a wide variety of employment litigation matters, including cases involving discrimination, retaliation, covenants not to compete, and wage and hour issues. Ms. Dwyer also counsels clients on compliance with state and federal employment laws, and assists in the drafting and reviewing of employment handbooks, employment agreements, separation agreements, and other internal documents.

Aside from her knowledge of employment and litigation matters, Ms. Dwyer uses her long-held passion for sports to advocate for clients in contract negotiations, Title IX matters, and name, image and likeness (NIL) issues. She is well-versed in negotiating, drafting, interpreting, and litigating employment agreements for collegiate coaches and athletic directors.

A native of metro Detroit, Ms. Dwyer received her undergraduate degree in sport management at the University of Michigan where she completed an internship with the Michigan Men's Basketball team. During law school, she interned in the civil division of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Tennessee.
