Ms. Campbell regularly enforces and defends the rights of financial institutions in secured transactions litigation involving commercial and residential mortgage transactions. She also defends her corporate and business clients, who come from a wide variety of industries, throughout the state of Florida in both federal and state court in breach of contract and business tort litigation cases.
Prior to joining Baker Donelson, Ms. Campbell was actively recruited to serve as a senior corporate counsel and senior vice president for a leading financial institution's in-house legal department, where she advised executive leadership, supervised outside counsel across the financial institution's footprint, and negotiated loan workouts, while continuing to actively litigate matters on behalf of the financial institution. During this time Ms. Campbell managed hundreds of consumer and commercial cases being litigated throughout the Southeast, California, New Jersey, and New York.
In addition to serving as in-house counsel, Ms. Campbell has served as outside counsel litigating matters for major financial institutions and other corporate and business clients in federal and state court throughout the state of Florida. She also has extensive appellate experience having successfully served as lead drafting counsel on numerous appellate briefs and presenting successful oral arguments before Florida's District Courts of Appeal. Notably, Ms. Campbell is also licensed to practice law in Washington, D.C. and Maryland.
