Professional Biography


Nora is an attorney licensed in Kentucky, Tennessee and Georgia and is a member of Baker Donelson's Health Care Litigation Group. Nora routinely defends hospitals, doctors, and nursing homes, assisted living facilities and other caregivers in malpractice litigation. Additionally, Nora litigates legal malpractice, general tort defense, and labor and employment matters and routinely handles appellate matters as well.

Before joining Baker Donelson, Nora maintained a civil litigation practice in Lexington, Kentucky and represented clients throughout central and eastern Kentucky from 2001 to early 2017. She then served as career law clerk for the Honorable Clifton L. Corker in the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Tennessee. She was nominated as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2014 to 2016 and holds an AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell.

  • Obtained a dismissal for a brake component manufacturer in an asbestos claim.

  • Achieved a defense verdict for the majority of claims in a multi-week blasting damage trial.

  • Won summary judgment in several matters on behalf of insured defendants.

  • Successfully negotiated settlements of wage violation claims against various restaurants in central Kentucky.

  • Represented a franchisee for two national restaurant franchises in various claims and litigation throughout Kentucky and managed claims and litigation for the franchisee in multiple states in which it operated restaurants.

  • Served as counsel in a wage and hour violation case involving more than 1,000 employees in both Kentucky administrative proceedings and trial and appellate courts.

  • Defended a company in a lawsuit alleging assault by security guards. Achieved a favorable settlement following mediation.
