Christy Tosh Crider, Steven F. Griffith Jr., Jim Levine and Scott W. Pedigo have been elected to Baker Donelson's board of directors. They were elected by the Firm's shareholders and will each serve a three-year term as a member of the board.
Ms. Crider, a shareholder in Baker Donelson's Nashville office, is chair of the Firm's Health Care Litigation Group and the Women's Initiative. She also founded the Firm's Long Term Care Team and served as its leader for more than a decade. She concentrates her practice in health care litigation, managing the litigation of numerous health care facilities around the country, as well as serving as outside general counsel. Since 2008, Ms. Crider has been listed in Mid-South Super Lawyers and was listed among the top 50 female attorneys in the Mid-South, the top 50 attorneys in Nashville, and the top 100 attorneys in Tennessee. She is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America© in the area of Health Care Litigation and was named the Best Lawyers' 2019 Nashville Health Care Litigation "Lawyer of the Year".
A shareholder in Baker Donelson's New Orleans office, Mr. Griffith, who has been re-elected to a second term on the board, is co-chair of the Firm's Business Litigation Group and a member of the Audit and Finance Committee. He has a national practice assisting clients in various industries, including affordable housing, construction, hospitality and marine. He has represented or advised clients on matters in more than 35 states. Mr. Griffith has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America© since 2012 and in Chambers USA: America's Leading Business Lawyers since 2010. He has also been recognized in Louisiana Super Lawyers and has been named among the publication's top 50 attorneys in Louisiana and top 50 attorneys in New Orleans since 2016.
Mr. Levine, who works from Baker Donelson's Chattanooga and Washington, D.C. offices, practices in the areas of commercial lending, mergers and acquisitions, business organizations and commercial contracts. He has extensive experience in health care financing, particularly in the representation of financial institutions and borrowers in HUD-insured loan transactions for long term care, senior housing and multifamily housing facilities. He has been counsel in hundreds of HUD-insured loans totaling approximately $2 billion for projects in more than 40 states. Mr. Levine has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® in the areas of Business Organizations and Commercial Finance Law, and he was named the Best Lawyers' 2018 Chattanooga "Lawyer of the Year" in the area of Business Organizations. He has also been recognized in Mid-South Super Lawyers since 2009.
Mr. Pedigo, who is managing shareholder of Baker Donelson's Jackson office, has been re-elected to a second term as a member of the board. He represents manufacturing and commercial clients in employment, consumer products liability and commercial litigation matters. In addition to his litigation practice, he regularly assists clients with appropriately addressing and limiting the risks associated with difficult employment issues and investigations, contract disputes, product safety concerns and recalls.
